Russell Westbrook has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Houston Rockets athlete revealed that he has tested positive for the disease and is isolating at home to ensure that he does not expose those closest to him to it.

He used Instagram to announce the news….

I tested positive for COVID-19 prior to my teams departure to Orlando. I’m currently feeling well, quarantined and looking forward to rejoining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you all for the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously. Be safe. Mask up! #whynot.

Westbrook is the latest public figure to be met with a positive result. For, Idris Elba, Pink and  Tom Hanks were just three of the large group of celebrities who successfully recovered from the potentially deadly virus.
